We can help! As we come together as Baptist women from across Canada, we are not only building into the lives of particular women who receive the scholarship, but the ripple effect is tremendous as their lives go on to impact others through their increased effectiveness. These recipients are chosen in partnership with Canadian Baptist Ministries.

Beth Kamathi

Kenya

Pursuing her DMin. She will be finished in 2025 and then working on her candidacy.
Acadia University, Nova Scotia (online)

Beth currently serves as principal of a seminary as well as a pastor as she pursues further education.

Jacqueline Iradukunda

Rwanda

Pursuing Master of Business Administration in Project Management, currently working on her thesis with Kigali University

Jacky currently serves as Director of Community Development for the Association of Baptist Churches of Rwanda.

Loulwa El Maalouf

Lebanon

Pursuing PhD in Organizational Leadership
Columbia International University, South Carolina (online).

Loulwa has been serving with Arab Baptist Theological Seminary for almost 5 years, currently as Director of Partnerships, Finance and Administration.

Laeticia Dusabimana, Rwanda

Received her MA in Gender and Development in 2023

Director of Women and Family Department within the Association of Baptist Churches of Rwanda

Laeticia has a thirst for continuing to serve her community and her country in building up the development of women and children in a sustainable way. She is very grateful for the opportunity the scholarship has provided. It was a long time prayer for her and now it is accomplished! She has learned new ways of helping women who are oppressed and marginalized.

Gladys Haydee Ortiz, El Salvador

Received her Masters Degree in Theology with and emphasis on Christian Education in 2023
Seminario Teologico Centroamericano

President of the Association of Baptists in El Salvador, pastors a local church and teaches at the Baptist Theological Seminary in El Salvador

Gladys said, "It has been a long time of blessing and learning. The learning has been pertinent to our Latin American context and I have been able to update my knowledge of theology and history of Latin America. I am very grateful for the support of your prayers for me personally as well as for your generosity in supporting me with tuition. God continue to bless you and reward your efforts.
